WATERLOO FESTIVAL FOR ANIMATED CINEMA BEGINS
Off to the west of Toronto, in the land that's home to Oktoberfest, is a film fest dedicated to animated films from around the world. The Waterloo Festival for Animated Cinema returns to Kitchener-Waterloo with the fifth edition of the unique animation film festival.
WFAC 2005 will be running November 17th-20th at the Princess Twin Cinemas in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
A partial film listing is: Alosha Popovich i Tugarin Zmey (Alosha Popovich and Tugarin the Serpent), Fragile Machine, Frank and Wendy, Kumou no Mukou, Yakusoku no Bashou (A Place Promised in Our Early Days), Mind Game, NyĆ³cker! Anime legend Katsuhiro Otomo, director of AKIRA and STEAMBOY, has announced that his next project will be a live action film of the anime, MUSHISHI. Based on a horror manga MUSHISHI MASTER by Yuki Urushibara, the story is set in turn-of-the-century Japan about a guy who can see invisible life forms called Mushishi which give humans a hard time.
